Task 3
After we all completed our user flow, Katelyn and I organised and connected each page together as well as amended some pages such as the login, forum page and locket page.

This week we worked on all the task 3 deliverables.
INSTRUCTIONS
TASK 3
We started on our task 3 by having a brainstorm session for our solutions.
We decided to reuse the app idea that we created in our second week but
altered it to fit the needs of our user personas.

After we settled on our idea, we wrote down all our features and
categories for the card sorting. The image below is how we initially
sorted it before sending it out to our interviewees.

Each member sent out the card sorting activity to our 3 interviewees.

Afterwards, we had a meeting and tried to finalise our information
architecture however, we each had different ideas on how the app layout
should be like so we created individual ones and gave our rationale for
why each feature belonged in the specific category.

Then, we created our final layout as well as added some new features that
we felt should be strongly included.
Once that was done, we separated the pages between each member and created
the user flow for it. My role was to create the user flow for the
character page.

After we all completed our user flow, Katelyn and I organised and connected each page together as well as amended some pages such as the login, forum page and locket page.
Then, I created the Pinterest board and invited everyone to add their
inspiration for the app.

We then compiled everything into a moodboard in the FigJam. We also added
a small description on what we liked from the inspiration pictures.
Once that was done, we all created our own individual design guidelines
and low-fi wireframes. This was to save time and generate as much
creativity as possible since we all had different ideas on how the app
should look like.

We then worked on the presentation slides and consulted with our lecturer
before our final presentation.

After our final presentation, I felt unsatisfied with my low-fidelity
prototype so I went back to the drawing board and looked at some
references that I liked. Afterwards, I decided to redo my prototype.

REFLECTION
My overall experience with this module was definitely challenging but
honestly not because of the actual work that we were given. In the
beginning, there was some confusion on what we were meant to do for
selecting our topic as we had already brainstormed our solution when we
were meant to just think about the actual issue itself. Then, there was a
lack of communication within our group which created some tension which
would persist throughout the rest of the module.
I found that it takes a lot of effort and patience to lead a group. I do
feel like I could have handled this position better but the tight
deadlines on our tasks forced me to take on more jobs and responsibilities
in order to fix any issues if it was to be done by our deadline. I think
that if we were more open about our feelings and what issues we were all
feeling, that we could have been able to delegate the tasks more
efficiently.
I've observed that analysing data comes with many stages and may be
tedious but will eventually lead to clearer breakdowns. It wasn't just
about compiling all the statements that we received from the interviewees,
but went further into the key themes in each sentence. I also observed
that frequent check-ins with our supervisor gave us more clarity on the
specifications for each deliverable. I do think that if there was more
detailed explanations on the task requirements, from the beginning, it
would have saved us a lot of time and effort completing unnecessary work.
However, whatever qualms and issues that I have with how this overall
module went down, in the end we managed to accomplish a lot. I must now
try to be satisfied with what we have.
