I also added two more screens for full screen viewing the heatmap and the floor plan.
INSTRUCTIONS
TASK 3
Your task is to prepare comprehensive document of what is needed in a project. This includes:
- User Journey Map
- Ideation

Hui Yi worked on the user journey map for the student while I worked on the user journey map for the Alumni. We focused on the start of the user persona's journey on campus to the end.

Afterwards, we included the Crazy 8 sketches we did in class and then compiled all our ideas into a MoSCoW chart and prioritisation matrix. At this point, our third member is finally back and was tasked with the charts.

We also had How Might We statements that Hui Yi and I came up with during class as well and adjusted them based on feedback we received.

TASK 4

We started with a rough wireframe to see what our key features would look like.

Afterwards, we refined it into a low-fidelity prototype. I was in charge of the homepage, heatmap and AR navigation. I also helped out with the prototype linking and making sure the headers were consistent across the pages.

Once we finished the low-fidelity prototype, we moved onto the high-fidelity. I took screenshots from Taylor's actual live map viewing for the AR screens.

Once we finished our high-fidelity prototype, we conducted our user testing. We asked 3 students and 3 alumnis to use our prototype. Since we were running out of time, we asked them to follow the same 2 scenarios.

After our presentation, we redesigned the app prototype a bit according to the feedback we received from the user testing and from our supervisor. I changed the heirarchy of the homepage and added a 'Room Availability" button to the homepage.

FEEDBACK
Week 7
Specific Feedback - Some of the how might we statements are similar, should combine them together.
Week 9
Specific Feedback - Design is not consistent across the pages, make sure to use the same header and maintain consistency in font and style
Week 14
Specific Feedback - Scenario doesn't work for alumni, task for scenario 2 is okay but the first one is too specific. Homepage heirarchy is not optimal.
REFLECTION
My experience with this task was quite neutral. I feel as though I'm at a point where I've created quite a few apps and feel quite confident in designing them now. I did struggle in terms of how to go about designing the homepage as our team didn't ask students about their opinion on the current Taylor's app design so I wasn't sure how to go about redesigning it. At that point, I just went a looked at a couple references on Google to see examples of other apps for academic institutions/that were education based.
